Where to Get the Belk Credit Card

The Belk credit card is our newest loyalty program for holders, not just as a means to ease but also as an unforgettable shopping experience. Should there be more? It’ll be a great idea; you read on to find out.

Belk credit card

The Belk credit card is issued by Synchrony Bank in collaboration with Mastercard International Incorporated. Mastercard, Tap & Go, and the circles design are trademarks of this firm.

Special savings, rewards, and other benefits are earned by members of this Belk Rewards® credit card program throughout the year.

Where Can You Shop with a Belk Credit Card?

The Belk Credit Card and Belk Store Card are Synchrony Bank issued credit cards. They are accepted at Belk department stores and belk.com, while the Belk Credit Card is co-branded and accepted wherever Mastercard is accepted.

All new Belk cards are issued by GE Money Bank, previously Synchrony Bank. When Belk bought sites, the sites bought were redirected to Belk.com.

What are the Advantages of the Belk Credit Card?

What are the Advantages of the Belk Credit Card?

As with most store cards, the Belk credit card is a rewards card for brand loyalists, offering greater rewards when you use the card more often at Belk. Here’s how much you’ll get paid at each spending level, regardless of which version of the Belk card you carry:

Spend $299.99 or less per calendar year on the card at Belk: You are a Belk “Insider,” and your card earns 4 points per $1 spent at Belk, or 4% back in store rewards.

You can also spend $300 to $999 using the card in a calendar year at Belk: You become a “Premier,” and your card earns 5 points for each $1 spent at Belk, which is 5% back in rewards in stores.

It is very possible to spend $1,000 or more in a calendar year at Belk: You become an “Elite,” and your card earns 7 points for each $1 spent at Belk, which is 7% back in rewards in stores.

Besides that, the open-loop Belk Rewards+ Mastercard version also earns 2 points for each $1 spent at grocery stores and on gas, plus 1 point for each $1 spent on all other non-Belk purchases.

With either of the cards, once you reach the spending threshold for the next status level at Belk, you’ll start earning rewards at that status with your subsequent billing period, and you can keep it until the end of the following year. If, for example, you earned Elite status in September of 2023, you would keep the status through Dec. 31, 2024.

The Belk Rewards

This is still another category where the Belk credit card is not the most value for occasional shoppers. Every time you earn 500 points through your Belk credit card, your points are automatically rewarded with a certificate worth $5 in Belk Rewards Dollars.

Certificates are sent by email or on your paper credit card statement and typically expire 90 days from the issuance date. You can spend up to $200 in Belk Rewards Dollars on a single purchase.

With an expiration time so short, though, all except for deal seekers who shop at Belk most frequently may have trouble building rewards for a big purchase.

To help maximize savings, you can pair Belk Rewards Dollars with the retailer’s frequent online, in-app, and print coupons.

Final Words

With hundreds of stores across more than 15 Southeastern states, Belk is a beloved brand among Southerners who appreciate the department store’s excellent customer service, reasonable prices, and wide selection of apparel, home goods, cosmetics, and more.

The Belk credit card, issued by Synchrony Bank, offers impressive rewards rates, ranging from 4% to 7% back in rewards, depending on your level of spending each year.

Nevertheless, if you are an occasional Belk shopper or if you have any chance at all of keeping a balance on your Belk charges, you’ll probably be best served by a flat cash-back charge card such as the Citi Double Cash® Card, which earns 2% cash back on everything you buy, 1% when you make a purchase and another 1% when you pay.
